I’m still bemused by the log peeling. Is the object of the exercise to acquire peel, or to acquire peeled logs? Or both? And to what end?
Someday, far in the future, will we suddenly learn that log-peeling was some subtle but crucial aspect of the story?
Unfortunately, I won’t live that long.
